SW series has been newly invented for users who would have needed an adapter/extension(such as ADP-106, ADP-107, etc.) to install our oil drain valve because the oil pans have a recessed drain port. The extended part between the threads and the body is as long as traditional ADP adapters, approximately 1/2" long (except for ADL-106 and ADL-22, 1" long and 1 1/2" long respectively).

Also these valves have a short nipple part, 5mm in length, which allows you to attach a 3/8" ID hose (F-Hose) to it for convenient draining. You can simply attach a hose to the nipple or insert the plastic durable socket provided into a hose and attach the socket directly to the short nipple on the valve when you need an extra tight fit.

Warning : If you end up finding out that the valve does not need the extended part to be installed, DO NOT install the valve. Please contact us and we can exchange it free of charge with the standard type valve, which does not have the extended part. An unnecessary extension may cause damages to your oil pan (ie. hitting the ground).

Note: SW Valve extends approximately 1/2" from the oil pan. Use ADP-107 (1/2" long) with the valve if you need more extension length.

Installation

1. Remove original drain plug and drain oil into acceptable receptacle.
2. Insert Engine Oil Drain Valve with gasket and tighten. Do not over tighten. (Some oil pans are designed with recessed drain hole which may prevent the valve from being installed properly. If the valve can not be tightened all the way without hitting the oil pan wall, do not install the Drain Valve to your vehicle. Adapters are available for some models.)
3. Make sure valve is closed and refill crankcase.

Operation

1. To open lift control lever and turn counter-clockwise 90 degrees.
2. To close simply turn the lever clockwise 90 degrees until locked in original position.

Safety

1. Drive carefully at all times, and if you run over any foreign object on the road pull over and check the valve for any damage or leak.
2. N-Series valve (with nipple to accept hose) is not recommended for passenger cars with low clearance.
3. Do not move the hose while draining the oil. Bending the hose close to the joint will cause the hose to disconnect from the joint. *Please remember to remove the plastic socket after use.
